Hewlett Packard 5890A Keyboard Board
The keyboard and display components of the HP 5890 are housed in a single display PCB assembly.
Current maintenance philosophy suggests that the display PCB assembly be replaced as a unit, rather
then replacing the display PCB, keyboard connector element, etc. individually. Maintenance procedures
have been included to allow for the disassembly of the display PCB assembly in the event that
the shroud assembly is not available in a timely manner
The Keyboard and Display Board are two boards located on the front of
the Electronics Module. The Keyboard plugs directly into the Display Board. The Main Board is
mounted inside the right side panel of the instrument and occupies most of the space in the Electronics
Module. More importantly, the Main Board contains most of the instrument’s electronics.
