The 8453 Value system; an economical system for UV-visible spectroscopy The Agilent 8453 UV-Visible value system is an economical system for UV-visible spectroscopy based on the reliable Agilent 8453 spectrophotometer with dedicated Windows- based software running on a PC. The system components provide an optimum price/performance configuration for a single-instrument workplace. This makes it ideally suited for performing general-purpose spectroscopy tasks in chemical, biochemical or environmental labs. The graphical user interface of the general purpose software is easy to learn and use and provides for complete instrument control and data analysis. Additional software modules are available for more specific spectroscopy tasks such as method development or kinetic studies

The 8543 Pharma system The Agilent 8453 UV-visible Pharma system is an industry-specific solution for UV-visible spectroscopy that is based on the reliable Agilent 8453 spectrophotometer with dedicated Windows(R)-based software running on a PC. The system components have been carefully chosen to provide an optimum price/performance configuration for both QA/QC and research laboratories in the pharmaceutical industry. The Agilent ChemStation Security Pack software module - bundled with the system - helps laboratories comply with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's ruling on electronic data records and signatures (FDA 21 CFR Part 11). The graphical user interface of the general purpose software is easy to learn and use and provides for complete instrument control and data analysis. Additional software modules are available for more specific spectroscopy tasks such as dissolution testing or kinetic studies.

    • Agilent ChemStation general purpose software for UV-Visible spectroscopy allowing control of instrument and accessories, and standard general data features.

      • Agilent ChemStation advanced software for spectroscopy method development,
      • Agilent ChemStation biochemical analysis software for enzyme kinetics assays and DNA melts, and
      • Agilent ChemStation dissolution testing software, a dedicated pharmaceutical application software for the Agilent 8453 spectrophotometer for dissolution testing.
      • Security Pack for UV-visible ChemStation modifies advanced and dissolution testing mode to support the requirements for electronic records and signatures (21 CFR Part 11)

Temperature range: 10 - 100 ° C (-10 to 80 °C relative to ambient), temperature accuracy: ± 0.2 °C (20 - 40 °C), ± 0.3 °C (0 - 20 °C, 40 - 60 °C), ± 0.5 °C (60 - 100 °C), temperature reproducibility: ± 0.1 °C at 0 - 60 °C, ± 0.2 °C at 60 °C.       • Standard cell holder - Quick and precise cell positioning of standard rectangular cells (12.5 mm quadratic base, 15 mm center height ); standard with all Agilent spectrophotometers. (08451-60104)
    • Multicell transport
      • Eight positions for Agilent 8453, software control, random access and thermostattable by means of a circulating-water bath. Repeatability: ± 0.1 mm, temperature range: 5 - 90 °C, temperature stability: ± 0.3 % between any cells at 37 °C (89054A) Sipper system - Fixed speed peristaltic pump, fully controlled through software, 10 mm path length flow cell with 80 µl volume. Minimum sample volume requirement is about 1 ml and typically sampling time is 20 s. (89068C)
      • XY autosampler - 240 samples in four racks, fully controlled through software, wash station for optional needle rinsing, random access to all positions. The racks are for 60 tubes with 13 mm diameter and 100 mm height. Minimum sample volume is 2 ml and typical sampling time 25 s. Sipper System required.
