The purge and trap apparatus is used to gently extract volatile compounds from a liquid at room temperature. Typically, the liquid is water. In the center is the purging tube. Purge gas is bubbled through the liquid in the purge tube and collected on the trapping column on the left. The trapping column generally contains a solid adsorbent, like TENAX. After a predetermined amount of purge time, the temperature of the trapping column is quickly raised and the compounds that were trapped on the trapping column are driven off of the trapping column and onto the chromatographic column.

What do we do with our service?

Replace the sample path, valves and lines. Test all concentrators after service. Provide and warranty on all NEW, REFURBISHED and customer repair units. We also install and set up on-site and provide customer familiarization.
